EasyGreensy.com Gets a Makeover

Submitted by Mike on Thursday, September 18, 20085 Comments

As some of our loyal readers here at EasyGreensy already knew, I’ve been working on a redesign for the site for a little while now. I didn’t think the original layout met both my needs for communicating things to our readers, and your needs for being able to find information quickly.

Even though I had been working hard to get the new look ready to go I was planning to relaunch the site October 1, along with some other great announcements.

Unfortunately in the process of working on the new look I managed to break the old. I could have spent a few hours fixing it, but instead of spending time working on something that would only be used for a couple of weeks, I present you with the “soft relaunch” of EasyGreensy.com.

There are quite a few things that still need to be fixed and debugged, so expect to see some changes along the way. As always, I strongly encourage your comments, suggestions, or problem reports. You can contact me directly via the contact page.

Thank you everyone for your patience through this transition. Stay tuned for the other announcements toward the end of September.

Hey Mike love the redesign. I like the featured section and the navbar. As well as the random post area. Only thing that seems weird is your banner it doesn’t really match the site anymore. But it is still early so maybe you already have plans. Anyways good job looking forward to seeing it finished.

@Green Products: Thank you very much!

I was planning to make a new banner, but I keep falling behind on that. I did however make the old one wider so that it looks a little better. I’ll give a new banner a few days to work out in my head. Also maybe anyone coming back to the site will have a little comfort seeing the old.

Thank you Stefanie. I tried to get as much working before tonight as I won’t be available to fix code much this weekend. I still have a list of to-dos, but hopefully everyone will feel comfortable browsing the site.

Very nice layout! Don’t suppose you have a name for the theme. Or was this a custom job?
