I found this video yesterday, and had to share it. As stated below, it’s a very catchy song and it has a pretty nice message. Also, I know somebody who loves Garrison Keillor. Even several years after seeing my first live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion in New York, I still get one song in particular stuck in my head from time to time.

Watch the video here.

From TreeHugger

If there’s one thing that clean diesel has been lacking, it’s a catchy jingle. When you idly think of McDonald’s, what comes to mind? “Bah da da da da, I’m lovin’ it,” perhaps? Now, what about clean diesel? Well, if you happen to live in the UK, it might be “Hate Something, Change Something.” The jingle is sung by renowned author and radio personality Garrison Keillor over a charming, clever animation of dirty diesel engines getting transformed into clean ones.

The whole thing is an ad by Honda for clean diesel, and you know what? The message sticks.

Good for you Honda in noticing that we need some change. Cleaner diesel is one step toward a solution. Keep pushing the limits further.

Just incase you wanted to know about the song I’ll never forget…

Transit Strike lyrics

Listen

Transit strike, transit strike
Get on a skateboard or a bike
That’s how it goes

Comin’ here just my luck
Hitched a ride on a bagel truck
Caraway and plain

Transit strike, transit strike
Things are happening you may not like
That’s how it goes

If you fly into J.F.K.
Chances are that’s where you’ll stay
Don’t leave baggage unattended

Transit strike, transit strike
Tycoons learn how to take a hike
That’s how it goes

Subway Bill went into shock
When he found out he had to walk
That’s how it goes

The taxi cabs are all in use
Soon we’ll have those old walkin’ blues
That’s how it goes

Call up a service, order a car
Put you on hold for half an hour
That’s how it goes

How’ll we catch that morning flight?
Guess we better start walking tonight
Which way is Queens?
